How does a Break Up & Divorce Coach fit into my divorce or separation?

Working alongside or independently from your lawyer, my role is to provide you with the positive emotional guidance you need to help you stay mentally strong throughout this difficult time. Without a Divorce Coach, you may find your lawyer is the only independent person you feel comfortable talking completely candidly to about how you are feeling. This can lead to even higher legal bills without you even realising it. Your lawyer is qualified in law - let them focus on the legal side of things. I am a professional qualified and accredited Break Up & Divorce Coach – let me focus on your mental and emotional wellbeing and save you money at the same time.

Do I really need a Break Up & Divorce Coach?

Although a relatively new concept, Divorce Coaches are becoming increasingly popular amongst both clients and lawyers with good reason. A Divorce Coach really can help you change the way you feel, allowing you to function better in all walks of your life despite the pressures and challenges you may be facing.

I can help you:

Why use Me?

There are many Divorce Coaches out there to choose from. There are far fewer specifically accredited to be a professional Break Up & Divorce Coach and I am one of them.

My life experience is pretty rounded and includes leaving my 20 year marriage to a company director, navigating my way through a complex high net worth divorce, being a full time Mum to 3 children, supporting a neurodiverse daughter with ADHD/Autism and dealing with the pain of loss and grief that we all face at some point. Prior to family life, I worked successfully in Sales, Recruitment and as a PA to a City MD. I have been a part time Fitness Instructor for over 15 years and more recently have completed over 280 hours as a Volunteer Childline Counsellor.

Following my divorce, I was approached by various friends and acquaintances keen to learn how I was coping and curious about the process. Whether they wanted to leave controlling partners, were trying to deal with issues surrounding infidelity, or simply stuck in an unhappy relationship with no visible way forward, I could see they wanted to listen to what I had to say. My straightforward, common-sense approach delivered with positivity and empathy seemed to resonate, and I could see that my thoughts and advice were valued. This is what gave me the drive and passion to try and help others professionally and train with the globally renowned Sara Davison to become an accredited Break-Up & Divorce Coach. My advice comes from the heart — although we all have our own story to tell, I have been there like you, just trying to get through one day at a time, and I get it. I wish I had known then what I know now and genuinely wish I had had a Divorce Coach to help guide me through what was a tough, lonely, and emotionally draining time.

I know how important the right support is and the positive difference it can make. And I know I can make that difference to you.

Ok, so what do I do now?

Take the plunge! Use the link below to book a completely free, non-obligatory 15 minute discovery call. I understand how daunting it can feel to make that first call but I will always treat you with warmth, openness and honesty. You just need to tell me briefly about your current situation and where you feel you need the most support right now – don’t worry if you don’t know, we can soon work out what you are struggling with the most. This first call gives us both the opportunity to establish whether we feel we can work together – trust and connection is key to successful coaching.

Following on from your successful discovery call, we will arrange your initial session, wherever you are. This will be 90 minutes and can be held either via Zoom or face to face in my discreetly located clinic in Repton, South Derbyshire.

This is where you really get the chance to offload and share your story with me in its entirety, from start to finish. Together we will unpack your baggage and work out which of your negative emotions need the most immediate attention, starting there and then to change the way you think and the way you feel. You will leave that session and every subsequent session with a realistic and manageable Action Plan for you to focus on until our next session. From thereon in, all sessions will last 60 minutes. Every time I see you I will help you to see how, step by step, you can increasingly take back control of your feelings and your life – up until the point you feel you simply no longer need me. You will be fully equipped with all the tools you need to continue moving forward independently, knowing that I am always there if you need me.

How much will it cost?

Each client has very individual and different needs. I have a range of packages designed with this in mind. This is something I will discuss at the end of our initial call once I have a better understanding of your situation.

"Vic is the perfect mix of straight talking yet hugely compassionate, having had first hand experience of an extremely testing divorce. She was my go to in some of my darkest hours, through the fear, the questioning of decision making, my internal romanticising about a marriage I never had, and she was my sounding board when I trusted no one. Warm yet compassionate, I felt like I trusted her with my life. After an instant connection with her, I knew she was the one."
